Shocking Animal Cruelty in Madhya Pradesh: 50 Cows Thrown into River—20 Confirmed Dead

On August 27, 2024, a tragic incident of animal cruelty shook the nation as 50 cows were brutally thrown into the swollen waters of the Satna river in Madhya Pradesh. This horrific event took place near a railway bridge in Bamhor, Satna district, and has resulted in the deaths of at least 20 cows. 

The disturbing act was captured on video, which quickly went viral, igniting a wave of outrage across social media and the country.

The Madhya Pradesh Police have arrested four individuals—Beta Bagri, Ravi Bagri, Rampal Choudhary, and Rajlu Choudhary—in connection with the crime. They have been charged under the Madhya Pradesh Gauvansh Vadh Pratishedh Adhiniyam and various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). 

The video footage clearly shows the cows being forced into the river's fast-flowing currents, leading to this tragic loss of life.

This incident has sparked a broader discussion on animal rights and the need for stronger enforcement of laws to protect animals from such cruel acts. The community and activists are calling for stricter penalties and immediate action to prevent such incidents in the future.
